All
you do is slice up the sausage links (I like garlic and cheese or sun
dried tomato sausage. sometimes, even apple) and brown them in a frying
pan. Once they're cooked, pour in the pasta sauce. You can use any pasta
sauce you like, but I've been using Hunt's lately because its the lowest
fat content out of all of them I've noticed, like 1.5 grams per serving.
I tend to find plain pasta sauce is seasoned for white people, lol, so
I sprinkle some salt, pepper and garlic powder into the mix to bring it
up the flavor a little.
Then
I take a casserole dish and pour half the sauce into the bottom. I pour
a generous helping of pre-grated cheese over that (you can grate your
own but like I said, this is when you don't feel like going to the trouble).
Pour the rest of the sauce and cover with another layer of cheese.
Bake
at 350° for about 20 minutes, just long enough to make everything
melt together and the top to get a little crispy. |
